Welcome back to our 24th feature of RainbowFriday. We’re heading to Europe this week to visit one of our favourite South African shops in the Netherlands – Die Spens.
We’ve been talking a lot about spring and the weather down south warming up, but our friends up north are prepping for colder months heading their way.
Of course, for many people cold casts a subtle gloom on their world, and the chill in the air could make you feel a bit homesick after a while. So as a shoutout to our friends, family and acquaintances who have shipped off to the Netherlands, we’ve got a bit of a shopping treat for you.
Expat shop of the week: Die Spens
Die Spens is a real hit with South Africans living in Europe. Located next to the A1 in Amersfoort – saffas and locals can easily reach it from virtually anywhere in Netherlands as well as other neighbouring countries. And if you can’t make it to the shop, then of course you can simply shop online and click your way to some rainbow nation treats.
The aim of the shop? To treat South African expats to a taste of home – with favourite brands, South African food and memorabilia.
